Dear Brethren,
MEDITATION
25 Therefore, putting away lying, “Let each one of you speak truth with his
neighbor,” for we are members of one another.
26 “Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your wrath,
27 Nor give place to the devil.
Ephesians 4:25-27
OBSERVATION AND INTERPRETATION
1. Things that must be put away
a) Immediately
b) Completely
c) Never to return
2. The sin of Lying
a) This is a problem for many
i) Cain tried to pretend he did not know what happened to Abel Genesis 4
ii) Abraham and Sarah lied to the Pharaoh Genesis 12
b) This must be put away!
i) Especially all who are serving the Lord
ii) This dishonours the Lord
iii) We disgrace ourselves
iv) We stumble people
3. The sin of anger
a) Anger can be deadly
b) The anger that remains in the heart!
c) King Saul was angry when people praised David more 1 Samuel 18
4. The sin of yielding to the Devil
a) Temptation
b) Deception
c) Worldliness
5. The challenge to speak the truth
a) Faithfully
b) Fervently
APPLICATION TO LIFE AND MINISTRY
1. The Weaknesses in our life
a) Identification
We must know where our weaknesses are
b) Instruction
Let us learn how to deal with these sins
c) Inspiration
To find answers to resolve weaknesses in our life
2. Help from God
What is available? 2 Timothy 1:7
a) Power
b) Love
c) A sound mind
